At-home Lactation Consultation
One-on-one consultation in the comfort of your home - and sofa.
The first-time visit takes approximately 2 hours and includes a review of your medical history, pregnancy, birth and your baby's weight records. I will examine your breasts and your baby's mouth, if necessary.
During our meeting, you will practice breastfeeding so I can see your breastfeeding style and how I can best support you If needed.
At the end of our meeting, I will provide a step by step plan for you to easily follow.

A minimum of one follow-up visit is strongly recommended to evaluate the progress. Sometimes as one problem is addressed and resolves, another problem reveals itself.
Initial visit $350 / 2 hours ($425 for twins as this visit takes longer)
Follow up visit $300 / 75 min ($350 for twins)

Each visit includes a digital copy of a care plan and a comprehensive resources list. Initial lactation visit also includes a physician report faxed to your pediatrician and/or OBGYN.

Maternity leave is a wonderful time to establish a special connection between mother and baby and get a great routine going. But can you continue when you return to work or school? the answer is absolutely yes - with the right preparation.
During our consult we will discuss how to best prepare for your return to work or school, how to choose the right breast pump for your needs and use it effectively, how much milk your baby will need while you are away, how to maintain your milk supply and how to make breastfeeding "work" in the workplace.
This consultation does not include assessment of a feeding or your baby.

Prenatal Breastfeeding Consults
During a prenatal consult, I will provide you with all the basic information needed to start off on the right foot (or right breast) for a good beginning to your breastfeeding experience.
Classes focus on topics such as the supply and demand, positions and latch, what is "enough" milk and how to maintain your supply, understanding normal baby behavior as well as other common concerns.
A prenatal breastfeeding consult includes a customize care plan and a comprehensive resources list, to ensure you are prepared for the first few days of breastfeeding.
You are encouraged to invite you supporting person to join you.

For self pay clients: upon request, I will provide an itemized receipt for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement or a receipt for HSA/FSA.

For any location that is outside of the 15 miles radius (but within the service area listed below) I will collect a $50 travel fee that are not covered by insurance. .
